Abbey Allen Bio

Hello! My name is Abbey Allen and I am the School Counseling Coordinator here at CVCC. This is my third year here at the Central Vermont Career Center and I could not be more proud of the work that we do here in career and technical education. 

I was born and raised in central Vermont before moving to North Carolina to attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte for my undergraduate degree. After earning a B.A. in Criminal Justice, I moved back home for a year before spending another two down in Charlotte. After a shift in career focus, I decided that I wanted to work in schools as a support for students and as someone who would be an advocate for student needs. This led to me earning my B.S. in School Counseling and I have been working as a school counselor now for about 6 years! I love being able to support students in their growth and enjoy working with them to reach their goals and explore their passions. 

In my free time, I coach girls soccer and girls lacrosse and I am the new Co-Director at Lotus Lake Camp. I also enjoy hiking, being on the water, spending time with our dog, and being by a campfire with friends and family.
